When a friend asked me about some books I'd put on my "Mama's Wish List" for Christmas,
I was happy to share the inspiring titles with her.

I then realized, I'm feeling rather optimistic regarding upcoming 2013,
even though I've had unexpected surprises this past month.
(Hitting the "pause" button on my schooling being the main surpise.)
I realized I love the turn of a new year....
like a box of new crayons, or a new calendar/day planner/organizer, or a new home to settle into,
everything has a newness, a freshness about it.
It's clean and unspoilt.
It's a personality/character trait God hardwired into me,
and I think it is wonderful and I so appreciate it. I wish everyone had it. :)
It's like a warm cup of cocoa in your hands, or a healing spring day, or walk in the woods.
As December keeps rapidly slipping past us, day by day...
